In front, a super-clear giant screen and surround-sound audio; behind, a food market steaming with Wenzhou flavours. On the evening of July 18, the ¡°Warm Enjoy Summer¡± 2026 summer consumption season and the Budweiser World Cup FIFALAND beer carnival opened at Wenzhou Science and Technology Plaza, crowning a seven-day feast of the night economy running July 16¨C22.
Organizers built the event around the 2026 World Cup ¡ª a ¡°sport + culture + commerce¡± crossover of summer entertainment. Partnering with Budweiser, the city fused the tournament¡¯s excitement with local food culture, building Wenzhou¡¯s own World Cup summer nights and an immersive new night-consumption scene, flying the flag of ¡°Night Wenzhou¡± and a ¡°moonlight economy¡± IP.
The event was hosted by the Wenzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, the Wenzhou News & Media Center and the Lucheng District government, with Budweiser (China) Investments as organizer. Budweiser built an open-air high-definition viewing stage that screened matches live; between games, live bands, dance troupes and World Cup-themed football shows performed, with a black-gold training camp and trend space for visitors to play.
As night fell, every seat was taken. Families and friends drank fresh beer delivered straight from the Budweiser Wenzhou plant while watching the big screen. In the early hours of July 20, the World Cup final was screened live, letting local fans witness the crowning of champions with fans around the world.
Behind the stage, the food market bustled: more than 70 stalls ¡ª Yanting Pier Huimin outlet, poached seafood, Dong¡¯ou Harbour, Huimin No. 6 food stall, Chuxu duck tongue, Huangyu turtle-fish cakes, Taishun tofu and more ¡ª offering Wenzhou favourites, seasonal organic produce and heritage creative goods in one stop.
Beyond the main plaza, satellite scenes opened at the Huimin food stalls, Wumam Street and Wutian Old Street ¡ª a main stage igniting, satellites echoing, an immersive night consumption scene across the city.
